Director of Special Education Inclusion

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Director of Inclusion is an instructional leader that will support K-12 Special Education Teachers and promote best practices that service students with disabilities across the district. Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Director of Inclusion will plan, organize and direct Special Education programs and the current inclusion model. The Director of Inclusion is an expert in promoting inclusive education by creating an environment that accommodates the diverse needs of all learners. They will assist in the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of special education programing. This position will work closely with school leaders, the Director of Special Education, and the district instructional leadership team to support Special Education Inclusion teachers with co-teaching and other inclusion models. The Director of Inclusion should possess in-depth knowledge and expertise in supporting students with disabilities, special needs, or other challenges in all content areas.

 

WORKING TIME:

 

The Director of Inclusion will be required to work 226 days, exclusive of holidays. The length of the work day will be 7:00 a.m. to 3:30p.m. The successful candidate will receive a one-year contract.


SALARY:

 

The base salary for this position will be in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Everett Teachers Association Unit A.
