Title I Before or After School Reading and Math Intervention

 

Description: The Title I before or after-school reading and math intervention program will run either two, three, or four days per week, Monday through Thursday. Session 1 will run from November 4, 2024, through February 13, 2025, and Session 2 (pending funding) from March 3, 2025, through June 5, 2025. The programs will use high-quality tier II and/or III reading and math intervention programs with data-driven, small groups of 5-6 students in grades K - 5.
? Literacy groups in grades k - 5 will use mClass intervention program
? Math groups in grades k - 1 will use Kickstart Math
? Math groups in grades 2 - 5 will use Do the Math

 

Working Time:
? Required training dates: Monday, October 28, and Tuesday, October 29, from 3:30 - 5:30 PM.
? Program days/times: Monday through Thursday from 6:45 AM - 7:45 AM OR 2:45 PM - 3:45PM.

? Program dates:
¦ Session 1: Monday, November 4, 2024 - Thursday, February 13, 2025
¦ Session 2: Monday, March 3, 2025 - Thursday, June 5, 2025
? No program the weeks of: Nov 25-28, Dec 23-26, Dec 30-Jan 2, and Apr 21-24

 

Requirements:
? Current assignment as a Classroom Teacher, ESL Teacher, Special Education Teacher or Interventionist at the Keverian, Lafayette, Madeline English, Parlin, Webster, or Whittier Schools.

 

Preferred Qualifications:
? Experience and Proficiency in administering Elementary Literacy and Math Screening Assessments
? Experience and Proficiency with district-approved intervention programs
? Literacy: mClass, Just Words
? Math: Kickstart Math, Do the Math

 

Remuneration: When applying, staff will choose to work either two, three, or four days per week.
Remuneration will be at $40/hour for the number of hours worked each week, plus 1 hour per week for teacher preparation.

 

Maximum stipends for each option:
? Two days per week: $1,560 (one session), $3,120 (both sessions)
? Three days per week: $2,080 (one session), $4160 (both sessions)
? Four days per week: $2,760 (one session), $5,520 (both sessions)

 

Number of Positions: 60 positions total pending grant funding. Appointments will be made at the Keverian, Lafayette, Madeline English, Parlin, Webster, and Whittier Schools.
