EPS MYCAP 6-8 ADVISORY LIAISON

 

The EPS MyCAP 6-8 Advisory Liaison will be a member of an EPS K-8 school staff who will be responsible for overseeing implementation of the EPS MyCAP 6-8 Program.

 

The 6-8 Liaison will coordinate the MyCAP program in grades 6-8 across the district, and support and calibrate the efforts of the MyCAP 6-8 Teacher Leads. This will include holding regular meetings (in person or virtual), providing training for Leads, planning student-facing programs, and supporting all other efforts. The 6-8 Liaison will also work with the EHS MyCAP Planning Team for assistance and to ensure vertical alignment. Additionally, the 6-8 Liaison will be responsible for continually reevaluating the EPS MyCAP 6-8 Advising program and ensuring program alignment to DESE requirements.

 

The EPS MyCAP 6-8 Advisory Liaison will work a total of eighty (80) hours between September 15, 2024 and June 30, 2025. The EPS MyCAP 6-8 Advisory Liaison will have regular meetings which may be in person or remote and which will be outside of the contractual work day.  Some work may need to be completed at night or on weekends.  The EPS MyCAP 6-8 Advisory Liaison will work with the EPS SEL Director and the EPS Health and Wellness Coordinator and district leadership in whatever capacity is needed.



REQUIREMENTS: Must be a current EPS K-8 teacher/ guidance counselor/ school leader in Unit A of Everett Teachers Association; Strong knowledge of MyCAP 

 

PREFERRED: Strong knowledge of needs of English Learners or Special Education students, strong familiarity with the school and district.

 

WORK TIME AND STIPEND: 70 total hours. $40 per hour.  Total stipend of $2,800.
