By Me Curriculum Planning Team

Description: The “Made By Me” Team will provide an organized, simplified, and more accessible curriculum for ILP teachers. Teachers on the team will plan and prepare activities to provide efficiently accessed materials to classroom staff, rather than having several folders and documents to sort through each month. In addition, Made for Me Literacy activities are all digital and must be printed and laminated by the teacher who selects them. As part of making Made for Me Literacy accessible for
teachers, we will make activities that will be ready to be used. Made for Me Literacy has several components and includes many activities per unit/month. The curriculum’s current scope and sequence assumes our students are able to do academic work/activities for multiple hours each day. By redeveloping a new scope and sequence for Made for Me Literacy, we will simplify each unit’s activities, pair them with N2Y lessons, suggest outside literature that may be more appropriate for our students, connect our phonics and math topics, and provide an overall more appropriate, relevant, and easily deliverable plan for ILP teachers to deliver the Made for Me Literacy curriculum. The Made By Me Team goal is to ensure that ILP teachers have
a single resource that provides them with a simplified and encompassing plan of each Made for Me Literacy unit.
