DISTRICT LANGUAGE ACQUISITION TEAM 2024-2025

 

 

The District Language Acquisition Team will support the learning of ELs as a building-based liaison for the EL Director and in collaboration with the EL Leadership team. Duties include tasks outside of the instructional school day.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:


? Collect and analyze EL performance and engagement data in school programs and extracurricular activities
? Outreach to EL parents and families for outside-of-school events
? Market EL summer school programs and assist with student enrollment
? Market, enroll, and manage EL participation in before and after school tutoring programs
? Create ACCESS Testing scheduling and operational protocol
? Monitor ACCESS testing completion and support successful testing window
? Disseminate information about English Learners to school-based personnel
? Assist in the dissemination of Parent Notification Letters
? Organize all EL-related documents and keep school records up to date
? Oversee the completion of EL progress reports
? Research best practices and use of Title III funds; make suggestions to EL Director
? Participation in monthly dialogue with the EL leadership team
? Collaborate with EL Leadership team on school-based projects to promote equity and access for ELs
? Assist with end-of-year data meetings with teachers to analyze ACCESS data and re-level ELs
? Assist in any tasks related to EL instruction and compliance

 

Orientation Date: September 9th, 2021 from 3:00-4:00 (Meetings will take place on zoom)

Parlin: (1) $2500
Lafayette: (1) $2500
EHS: (1) $2500 


50% of stipend in January
50% of stipend in June upon completion

 

Must complete month-by-month checklist with Principal signature

 

Requirements: Current teacher in Everett Public Schools (preferably at the school location)
