2. How long does it take to be trained in TCIS strategies and physical intervention? 21-Hour Course The TCIS system is among the most comprehensive programs for supporting and teaching children and young adults who experience crises. At the training you will be provided with a workbook and be asked to take part in many activities that involve interactions with your colleagues. You will be required to engage with one another in meaningful conversation, role-play scenarios, as well as take part in small group discussions and lectures. To complete this course, you will be expected to pass a written assessment, an assessment of your ability to conduct the Life Space Interview- a seven step process used to teach children and young adults new coping skills, and an assessment of physical skills for physical intervention.
