2024-2025 Elementary GLEAM Leadership Scaffolding Team 

(Elementary K-5 ELA)

Description: The 2024-2025 Elementary GLEAM Leadership Scaffolding team will support the implementation of the new ELA Curriculum for the 2024-2025 school year. The team will work to create appropriate scaffolds for our ELL and Inclusion students.  Members will work in grade-level teams to create scaffolds to add to the Pacing Calendars/ Lesson Overviews. Team members will report to Louise DeSisto, K-8 Director of ELA/ Literacy and Genevieve McDonough, Director of English Learners regarding this. 

Working Time/Modality: Up to 50 Hours between October  2024 - April 2025 which will include one monthly meeting via Zoom and asynchronous time to create scaffolds. 

Requirements: Current member of the 24-25 Elementary GLEAM Leadership Team or in an EL Coordinator role.  

Preferred qualifications: Three teachers per grade level, representative of classroom, EL, and inclusion roles. Qualified applicants must be self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to create high-quality scaffolds to support students in accessing grade-level CKLA content. 

Compensation: up to 50 hours or total of $2,000 per person (based on the number of teachers participating). ½ of the stipend will be paid in February 2025 and the remaining ½ will be paid May  2025.

Number of Positions: 18 (3 per grade level K-5)
