Everett High School Biology/Physics MCAS Appeals
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to submit MCAS Appeals to DESE. This person is responsible for evaluating and analyzing relevant student data to support appeals related to Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) scores. The goal is to prepare and submit comprehensive appeal cases to the state for approval or denial of a passing MCAS score.
WORKING TIME
After school hours, on a rolling basis per MCAS score release dates beginning October 2024
REQUIREMENTS
Current assignment as a Science Teacher, Assessment Coordinator or relevant position at Everett High School
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience working with MCAS Cohort Appeals
- Familiarity with MCAS testing and state educational standards
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in data management and analysis tools (e.g Excel, Edwin Analytics)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
SALARY/WAGE: Up to $1,000, based on $40/hr for a maximum of 25 hours
