EHS National Geographic: World of Chemistry Curriculum Implementation Team
Description: The EHS Science National Geographic: World of Chemistry Curriculum Implementation Team will support teachers with the process of implementing the National Geographic: World of Chemistry (grades 10-12) during the 2024-2025 school year.
During the school year, the team members will meet after school weekly with teams or individual educators as needed to review curriculum maps, pacing guides, common assessments, and anchor texts to internalize curriculum and commonly plan for effective and equitable student-centered instruction. Team members will communicate frequently with the EHS Science Department Chair. Members will report to the Director of Instruction Anne Auger.
Working Time:
- Summer dates:
- Asynchronous work to prepare for implementation
- School Year dates:
- Weekly times (45 minutes/week) for team members to meet with EHS Science Department Chair after school
- Asynchronous work to plan
- Meeting and communicating with the EHS Chemistry team.
Requirements: Current member of EHS Science or ESL Department, or Special Education department with Chemistry responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Rich and varied experience with scientific literacy, Chemistry, curriculum and instruction
- Strong growth mindset and collaborative skills
- Student centered approach to chemistry instruction with high expectations for student achievement
Compensation:: Up to $1,600, based on $40/ hr for 40 hours outside of school time
