Investigating History Professional Learning Community 

Description: The Investigating History Professional Learning Community will support teachers with the process of implementing the Investigating History curriculum in grades 6 and 7.

During the school year, the team members will meet after school to internalize curriculum to commonly plan, review pacing guides, review student work with common rubrics, and share strategies and scaffolds to support diverse learners. Members will report to the Director of Instruction Anne Auger.

Working Time: 

• School Year dates: 
• Bimonthly on Tuesdays from 3:15-4:45 (Location TBD)
• 10/15, 10/29, 11/12, 11/26, 12/10, 1/7, 1/21, 2/4, 2/25, 3/11, 3/25, 4/8, 4/29, 5/13, 5/27, 6/10
• Asynchronous work to plan between meetings

Requirements: Current 6th or 7th grade Social Studies teacher or instructional coach working with middle school Social Studies teachers.

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Rich and varied experience with literacy curriculum and instruction 
• Strong growth mindset and collaborative skills 
• Student centered approach to literacy instruction with high expectations for student achievement 

Compensation:: Up to $1,600, based on $40/ hr for 4o hours (24 hours in person/16 hours asynchronous)
