EHS EL Reflect/Savvas/Study Sync Curriculum Alignment Team
Description: The EHS EL Reflect/Savvas/StudySync Curriculum Alignment Team will support teachers with the process of aligning the Reflect curriculum with supplemental Savvas MyPerspectives (grades 9-10) texts. Additionally, this team will support EL co-teachers who push into grade level ELA classes to develop appropriate supports for ELs with the Study Sync (grades 11-12) curriculum during the 2024-2025 school year.
During the school year, the team members will meet after school weekly with teams or individual educators as needed to review curriculum maps, pacing guides, common assessments, and anchor texts to internalize curriculum and commonly plan for effective and equitable student-centered instruction. Team members will communicate frequently with the EHS EL and ELA Department Chairs. Members will report to the Director of Instruction Anne Auger.
Working Time:
- School Year dates:
- Weekly on Tuesdays (45 minutes/week) for team members to meet with EHS EL and ELA Department Chairs after school
- Asynchronous work to plan
- Meeting and communicating between EHS EL and ELA grade level teams
Requirements: Current member of EHS EL Department, levels 3-5
Preferred Qualifications:
- Rich and varied experience with literacy curriculum and instruction
- Strong growth mindset and collaborative skills
- Student centered approach to literacy instruction with high expectations for student achievement
Compensation:: Up to $1,200, based on $40/hr for 30 hours outside of school time
